NEW AIRPLANE PROJECT - TWIN TAILED - "THE MIDNIGHT" DRONE - new photos added 04/12/08
this is an experimental 80inches wingspan airplane project
<< project 1 project 2 project 4 project 5 >>

last Dec 13 was an unfortunate day for the drone - no video was produced. on the 2nd flight as i was about to land the plane, a sudden shift in the wind direction made the airplane flew downwind and pushed it on a nose dive to the ground. it was a total wreck! and a disaster which seems too imposible to happen for this large wingspanned plane. none the less the airplane was a good soarer, slugish and a bit slow to response, yet it was able to execute one roll <-- a builders dream!

photo added 12/04/08 - ailerons finally installed
